Event website → Programme →We attended ESTRO 2026 in Stockholm from 15–19 May. The INTRAGO-II study, a randomised phase III trial evaluating intraoperative radiotherapy in newly diagnosed glioblastoma, was presented in a plenary session by Prof. Dr. Frank A. Giordano. Medwave contributed to the study through clinical monitoring, imaging review support, site support, and study set-up activities.
ESTRO 2026 →The GLORIA study, an ongoing phase I/II trial investigating CXCL12 inhibition combined with radiotherapy in glioblastoma, was presented at ESTRO 2026 by Dr. Julian Layer. Medwave supports the study's advanced imaging component, including central imaging review and imaging-related workflows.
ESTRO 2026 →The expansion arm of the GLORIA trial evaluated radiotherapy in combination with NOX-A12, a CXCL12-neutralizing aptamer, and bevacizumab in patients with newly diagnosed, MGMT-unmethylated glioblastoma. All patients in this cohort achieved a radiographic response, including one complete response. Median overall survival was 19.9 months, compared with 12.7 months for radiotherapy and NOX-A12 alone.

ESMO website →The dose-escalation phase of the ongoing GLORIA trial, published in Nature Communications, evaluated NOX-A12 — a CXCL12-neutralizing aptamer — combined with radiotherapy in ten patients with newly-diagnosed, MGMT-unmethylated glioblastoma. The combination was well-tolerated with no dose-limiting toxicities, and 90% of patients showed a radiographic response.
